Richard J. Biryla
Richard J. Biryla is the firm’s Senior Partner who oversees administration of the firm and coordination of services to its clients. His practice areas include commercial, business, and construction litigation, complex transactional matters, commercial collection and recovery, as well as commercial real estate matters, creditors rights and elder law/estate planning. Richard has represented banks, manufacturers and contractors and businesses, both locally and out of state, for many years.
In addition, Richard has extensive experience representing multiple adult care facilities in New York and Ohio from site acquisition, complex financing arrangements, zoning, regulatory approval, constructional contracts, operational documentation, staffing and start up.
Richard is a member of the NYS Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association and several of its committees. He is a Cum Laude graduate of St. Bonaventure University and a graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School, where he was the recipient of the “Trial Lawyer Award.” Richard lives in Hamburg, NY, where he enjoys tennis, golf, skiing and the experience of being a “gentleman farmer.”
Aaron Walkow
Aaron R. Walkow, Esq. concentrates his practice on business and commercial litigation, including the areas of commercial creditor rights and recovery, and commercial real estate. The newest member to the firm, Aaron joined as an associate attorney in September 2016. A life-long Buffalonian, Aaron graduated from the University at Buffalo Law School in May 2015 after completing a dual degree program at Canisius College in 2012, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and in History. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court for the State of New York, Appellate Division, Fourth Department, and he is a member of the Erie County Bar Associate and the New York State Bar Association. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys playing in the local music scene as a part of the alt-rock band The Spin Wires, whose members are all attorneys practicing in the Western New York area.

Seth L. Hibbert
Seth L. Hibbert practices mainly commercial litigation, including substantial work in bankruptcy court and handling mechanic’s liens and bond claims for the firm's numerous construction-industry clients. As part of the firm’s pro bono efforts to perform free legal work for those in need, Seth is the former legal coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in the Buffalo area. In addition to his membership in the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Erie County Bar Association and its committee on commercial and bankruptcy law, he was a member of the state courts’ 8th Judicial District subcommittee that helped establish a commercial civil court in Erie County. A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, Mr. Hibbert also holds an MBA graduate with honors from Syracuse University, and was graduated summa cum laude from Niagara University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Mr. Hibbert started with the firm as a law clerk and was made a partner on January 1, 2005.
Peter L. Costa "of counsel"
Peter L. Costa represents both individuals and businesses in various matters including contracts, wills, estate planning, probate, business management, personal injury, matrimonial and criminal law. Several of Peter's litigated matters have been published as reported decisions. He is admitted to practice in state and federal Courts including the federal Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. As a long time member of the Erie County and New York State Bar Associations, Mr. Costa has served on various committees and is a past director of the Erie County Bar Association. He is a magna cum laude graduate of St. John's University School of Law, where he was president of his class. Peter founded the firm with the late Karl Goldman and continues to practice with the firm of counsel.
